Array Structures for Beam Shaping

Micro-and macro arrays with superior form accuracy are used for applications, where reliability and highest efficiency are crucial criteria. They range from beam transformation for fiber coupling over the homogenisation of laser light up to the efficient combination of laser stacks of identical wavelength. The lateral dimensions of the arrays range from some millimeters in the micro-scale up to 30 millimeters for the macro-scale. The dimension of the array structures are typically in the sub-millimeter-range. With its unique production technique, INGENERIC is able to keep the form accuracy of the arrays within the submicron range.

Micro-Prism Array


Micro-prism arrays are used for the transformation or homogenization of high-power diode laser beams. The uniqueness of the array is due to its monolithic structure. Sharp edges of the single facets and extremely high angular precision between the facets are features which guarantee a superior beam shaping.

The typical width of a single facet is in the range of 400 µm. All arrays are customized to fit the specific application.

Cylindrical Lens Array


The XP-micro-cylindrical lens arrays stand out due to an aberration free image and an optimum light efficiency. Assuring facts for these features are the extremely high pitch repeatability and the minimized dead zones between the lens elements. Due to the high form accuracy the arrays show an extremely stable focus position.

Besides a broad range of standard specifications INGENERIC realizes customized designs, too.

Aspherical and Spherical Lens Array


Major applications for lens arrays with spherical or aspherical curvature are imaging and illumination as well as the effective collimation of laser light. Lens apertures from 0.5 mm up to 3 mm are possible. High filling factors and minimum dead zones allow unique beam shaping results.

All arrays are manufactured out of high-index and high transparent optical glass to guarantee a reliable use in high-power applications.

Macro-Array


Macro-arrays are used for the efficient spatial interleaving of diode laser stacks. Damage free edges and highest precision of the single optical element as well as of the whole array guarantee an efficient combination of the stacked beams.

All macro-arrays are customized to guarantee optimum function and to fit pitch and design of the diode stack.

In order to simplify mounting, we also offer arrays with additional surfaces for mounting and/or support structures.
